Our LDO Project Members showcase their artistic talents
On Tuesday 1st July we headed down to the Sands End Arts & Community Centre to visit opening night at an art exhibition staged by This New Ground (TNG). All of the pieces were produced by Creighton Project Members who have a learning disability in This New Ground’s art studio with tutor Lucy. The art studio is based at The Creighton Centre and is a fantastic hub of creative activity for our Project Members.
Lots of the LDO Project Members have their art on display at the exhibition which we were very proud to see. The exhibition runs until the 31st July and we strongly recommend you go and see it if you have the chance!
Creighton Centre’s Learning Disability Outreach (LDO) Project has partnered with TNG since 2016 and we’re are thrilled to work with such a great organisation that enables our Members to explore their creativity.
We currently run a weekly art, coffee and chat session together and we support a lively singing group run at our community centre as well. If you’d like to get involved or support our work please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
