Current Vacancies: 

Project Co-ordinator (Keep Active) £27,066 per year (for a 4 day week); Part-time (28 hours per week); Temporary (12 month contract with option for renewal subject to funding)

Join us to lead Keep Active, our programme helping older people regain strength, confidence, and independence after illness or a fall.

You’ll recruit, train, and support volunteers who work with clients referred by health professionals, providing 9-week goal-focused support to keep them active and connected. This hands-on role involves home visits, building strong relationships, and seeing the real difference you make in older people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate referrals and link clients with trained volunteers.
  • Support clients and volunteers throughout the 9-week programme.
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
  • Work closely with NHS Community Independence and Rehab services.
  • Keep accurate records, gather feedback and share impact stories.
  • Promote inclusion and accessibility for all participants.

✨ What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting or coordinating volunteers (desirable).
  • Understanding of the challenges older people may face living alone.
  • Great communicator – friendly, empathetic and organised.
  • Confident with IT and record-keeping.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Willing to travel within Hammersmith & Fulham for home visits
